What I really wanted was apple pie, but the only apple pie on the menu is a no-added-sugar version sweetened with Aspartame. That sounded risky, so I went with the cherry cobbler.
All the cobbler components were disappointing. Crust: Underbaked. Crumb topping: Leaden and bland. The cherries were missing in action, their flavor almost completely obliterated by a thick red gel that tasted more like cornstarch than cherries. Like the Mike's Mojito reveiwed earlier, this one's not worth eating.
But then, what was I expecting from a chain restaurant located next door to a hotel? To be honest, I feel like a fool. A really grumpy fool.
